Welding technology

CD-welding with a high-current pulse . . .

The CD-welding with a high-current pulse is generated via a transformed capacitor discharge and belongs to the group of resistance welding and in this case to the subgroup of the conductive pressure welding.

The CD-welding is characterized by a rapid increase in current, an extremely short welding time <10 ms and very high welding currents to 1000 kA. This results in a number of advantages:

High energy density
Low mains power consumption
No influence of the welding quality in case of mains power fluctuations
Excellent reproducibility and precision
High operating efficiency
