The welding quality is monitored with each weld dynamic through the online documentation of the relevant variables like force, current and setting way. The real-time response of the relevant data is displayed as an x-y-plot, whereat its axis scaling can be flexibly adjusted to the measured values. These graphs can be saved as a jpg- or csv-file on the hard disk.

When setting new welding parameters, such as test welding of prototypes, the documentation and visualization of the measured values has proved useful. That allows you a comparison of the curves at any time during a later production. Additionally this allows the calculation of the applied voltage and resistance during the measurement process, which can also be stored for evaluation purposes in the system.

The purpose of the quality monitoring system GKS-Q is to allow easy an easy identification and retrieval of dysfunctions. Therefore errors must be able to be traced back. Test orders can be called and displayed by using an item number. This call can be made through a menu bar, a bar code from a host computer or from an automation system via the system control. Using a tool encoder ensures that the appropriate test order is loaded. These possibilities can be extended to an evaluation. Then each part is determined by the automatic reading, or there is a re-encoding of the part after the welding process.

To weld parts after a long time again with the once found optimum welding parameters, the parameters associated to each part can be saved and recalled in order to use them again if needed.
